Generals Lose Heartbreaker on the RoadThe Generals dropped three precious points this weekend on the road this weekend at Dulles. Jumping out to an early 2-0 lead the Generals looked in good form and had things under control until an unlucky deflection beat keeper, Tommy Hagerty, to bring the score within one. The remainder of the first half was a back and fourth battle with the Generals maintaining a 6-5 lead going into half time.
Dulles came out firing in the second half peppering the Generals net with shot after shot. The relentless pressure paid off for Dulles as they tied the game in the opening minutes of the third period and then taking the lead before the fourth. The Generals were unable to capitalize on the chances sending numerous shots wide of the target and forcing Dulles keeper, Robbie Batchelder, into some spectacular saves. The Generals were incapable of mounting any momentum in the fourth quarter as Dulles scored three unanswered goals before Generals midfielder Hector Camacho scored is first goal of the season at the end of regulation to make the score 10-7.
The Generals will look to rebound this weekend against cross divisional rivals Quantum Force at 8pm on Saturday the 16th.
Tickets will be on sale online or you can purchase them the night of the game at the Fredericksburg Field House.
